Re: What should we do for our 20,000th member?

hi
the 20000 milestone is nice ,but ,the charity idea is better than a personal reward for someone who happens to join on a certain day- time ,why not wait till the 20,000 member has joined put all the members names into a virtual hat and let a pc decide . then the persons chosen charity will benefit .
as always newsreader and spectre excellent site , although my suggestion would be to be covered in chocolate and have it eaten off by the stripper sugested in post no 6 but each to their own

98% agreement with dtr43, let the computer pick a member and they then nominate a charity. I'd be in 100% if it was Green & Black's choccy

Re: What should we do for our 20,000th member?

I'm 100% in favour of the donation to charity ( see post 2 ), however I think that the 20,000th member should choose. This gives an incentive for guests to become members which will benefit the site. Maybe another option would be £100 to charity and 6 months broadband.
Or 1/2 an xbox, wii, ps3 + £100 to charity
Or a sky + box and the winner pays install + £100 to charity.
That way both parties benefit.

I think the charity option would be best too, after all you might give a great prize out to the 20,000th member ..........and then never hear from them again!

Still waiting for nominations. If none by the end of the month we will split it to £100 each for the two already nominated.

Army Benevolent Fund - nothing to do with fighting any wars, political or otherwise, but dedicated to providing financial and practical support to soldiers, former soldiers and their families in times of need.
