Computeractive mags BB speed tester campaign

Computeractive magazine is launching a campaign to ensure that the UK’s broadband users are getting the best value for money.

They have teamed up with a number of industry players, including Consumerchoices.co.uk, which has developed a special speed-testing application on their behalf. The program monitors broadband speeds and collates results, which will be return to them anonymously.

Note that the program is free, though a short registration form must be filled in: this is so they can track how and where the application is being used.
