    New Router Hacking/Tweaking Tool

Well first I'd like to say Hi, I'm new to the scene and have been on Sky Broadband (Connect) for a month now. I have an Xbox 360 and a NAS box so am in the progress of getting to 2 to talk via TwonkyVision (a UPnP server which is compatible with NetGear DG834GT Router).

So to help me with my quest I have written a little application to allow me to URL inject linux commands (courtesy of Asinine Monkey and mognuts) into the router and upload files to it (via wget).

    Download latest version here: http://www.anthonymain.com/files/fol.../download.aspx

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions

Nice UI. There's much that overlaps with Bounce Sky Router (see my sticky) and I did consider this kind of functionality, but it did occur to me that sending custom commands is easier via plain telnet than URL injection - hence the reason that I just limited mine to firing up utelnetd.

Thanks for the post the only reason I have used URL injection is because I didnt find a way to gain access to the telnet client, I am yet to source the SKY username and password for it.

    Would you mind sharing?

You don't need a username or password for the Telnet server.

Use the following to kill any Telnet server that might be running already (if you launched it via debug mode for example):

    http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=pi...llall+utelnetd

And then use the following to launch the Telnet server without login restrictions:

    http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=pi...-l+/bin/ash%27

Both of those links were taken from my article which we've already discussed via email.

How are you getting on with getting twonkyvision working?

I integrated it into the standard Netgear firmware and then uploaded that to my router, router is fine but I get an error when I try to start twonkyvision so have lost interest somewhat....
