      Netgear R8000 Nighthawk with Sky ER115

      We have terrible coverage in our house with our ER115 Sky Router so have purchased the Netgear R8000.

      please can someone help me with the set up for this...?

      Well seeing as sky routers dont offer modem mode and I dont actually know if the netgear supports option 61 I would think the easiest option for now would be to setup your netgear as a wireless access point/mode. This leaves the sky router to handle the authentication with skys servers and your netgear can provide wireless access.

      Long term you could investigate if the netgear supports option 61 (as needed by a router to authenticate with sky) either through netgear own interface or possibly with 3rd party firmware perhaps with something like ddwrt . You could then use a vdsl modem only device with the netgear and ditch the sky router.
