Netgear (Non SKY) and MER
adsb over at the Be forum kindly patched the broken DHCP client in the 10xx dgteam builds for netgear routers.
Modified DGTeam firmwares for BE members
Sadly since i've moved to FTTC I cannot test this firmware on SKY but since the DHCP client is fixed it might be more useful than DGteam 848 on the basis that the 10xx builds let you configure custom scripts.
If I'm remembering correctly I believe the settings are as follows
Adsl mode: MultiMode
VCI = 0
VPI = 40
Encapsulation = VC-Mux
Get Ip dynamically from DHCP
Then telnet in and try the following commands (I'm not sure if these are the correct parameters, they work in dgteam 848 but if it's a different udhcpc version they might be different)
killall udhcpc
/usr/sbin/udhcpc -i nas0 -s /etc/udhcpc.script -c "user@skydsl|mypassword" &
Hopefully all going well this will allow your Netgear to get an Ip off sky's DHCP.
If this works you should be able to add the commands above into one of the scripts that the modem runs automatically to save you having to login and re-apply the modifications to the DHCP client startup every-time you reboot.

Re: Netgear (Non SKY) and MER
Adsb has clarified for me that the DHCP client is actually the same version as in dgteam 848 so the command-line parameters wiil indeed be the same
