Router Flashing help!

Hi Everyone,

I'm having problems in trying to flash my router.

I have done it with no problem in the past.

I'm following this link below:

Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password!

...and stuck on step 3.
I get this message come up:

"Could not get system information correctly. Please exit upgrade and execute RmDrv.exe
which located in the same directory with upgrade utility then run upgrade utility again".

Does anyone know what this means???

I'm on windows vista.

Please help.
Many thanks.

Re: Router Flashing help!

Hmm, someone else posted on this forum that the upgrade utility should be run in XP Compatibility mode. I'm not exactly sure how to do this in Vista, its somewhere in the right-click properties if I recall correctly. Allegedly the Netgear update utility is not fully Vista compatible. Allegedly

Re: Router Flashing help!

Hi,

That makes sense actually,

I flashed it before on my old PC and I had XP running on that.

Thanks for your help.
