Were you capped before or after you changed your adsl setup on the line?

Re: should i be getting higher?

i was originaly on adsl1 non capped ( bad line because of sky box , noise margin of around 7-8 db) and was syncing at around 7.5mb

they issued the DTM onthe line and changed me to adsl2

having problems with that they changed me back to adsl1 and capped my line

Thanks for the responce

Re: should i be getting higher?

How is the sky tv box on the line and is the noise issue now gone? if it is they can adjust the cap if the line stats are now better.

Re: should i be getting higher?

the skybox was just connected normally at first just via a normal telephone jack

Since then i have installed the filter on that point and it works a lot better

My noise margin has now increased between 8.5-10.5 all depends really on time of day etc etc.

it used to be 7 and bellow.

should i be getting full speed on adsl1 with the above stats that are stated on the first message ?

Re: should i be getting higher?

If you have sorted the issue with filtering etc out go back to sky bb tech support tier 1 and ask to be troubleshot for slow speed, make sure you have sorted the basics (main socket, filters where they should be and no extension leads) and it will take about 5 mins to go through the checks. Once done it should go to cst for speed and config, they will then look at line conditions and sort the cap out for you.
