Does new firmware sync to a noise margin when rebooted?
Hi guys,
Since being upgraded to the new firmware (V1.03.87), I've been experiencing many many random disconnects. The good news is that these tend to last only about a minute upon which the router automatically reconnects, but the bad news is it causes huge problems with real time applications like instant messaging, conferencing and online games.
I've noticed that my noise margin since upgrading is often very low, around 0db or even -2 db sometimes, whereas before it was 7 or higher. I suspect this is causing the many micro disconnects which were not happening before this only last week.
So my question is is there any way of syncing the router to a particular noise margin with the new firmware? Mognuts no longer works sadly, and rebooting the router at noisy times of the day seems to have made no difference to me? Upon reboot the router goes to 6 or 7 db for a while, but within a few hours is back down to 0 db no matter when the initial reboot was done.
Appreciate any advice ppl can provide!
