Actually, I flashed mine last night. I can't say it made a great deal of difference; the ADSL driver is updated in the latest Netgear release, and I think my SNRM was a little bit more stable, but I ended up reverting to the Sky firmware (not because there was anything wrong with the Netgear).

I think Mr_X wants it for another ISP, he does not appear to be with Sky Broadband.

Hi thanks for the offers but it doesn't matter now, I bought a DG834 none wireless modem off ebay for £7 without any accessories so I will use the ones that came with the 934 and make the 934 unit my new door stop. I realized I dont need wireless as I will be using a separate router and access point.

Managed to get 4.01.28 on but cannot get higher ? If it is possible to go higher then how can you upgrade again.

I had 4.01.37 on mine. I think 4.01.40 is newer, but it's not clear as the Netgear site says it's September 2007.

I am on 4.01.37 and working well apart from if I tunr this off and back on. It takes ages for it to connect and negotiate if it does. If it does'nt I have to select adsl2+ and then auto and it brings in the static address and then connects ? Any ideas as I am happy with the box byut wondering if this link drops for a second wilkl it ever reconnect ?

I had the same thing with mine, which is one of the reasons I ended up going back to the Sky firmware. I'd love to know if there's a reason/fix for this.
