you should backup your config file and save it like skyconfig.cfg

the sky firmware is included on the cd, and i have uploaded on the first post.

@vishal: Now that you can access telnet, what happens when you do this:

http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug
telnet 192.168.0.1
cat /tmp/nvram | grep pppoa

Netgear Hacking

I've done this - it connects and works with the netgear firmware.

@balotz:

can you confirm if password is visible when you do this:
http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug
telnet 192.168.0.1
cat /tmp/nvram | grep pppoa

Yes, this shows the username and password, which looks like a hex number.

Code:
# adslctl info --stats
adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 974 Kbps, Downstream rate = 907
2 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
It appears (correct me if I'm wrong) that Sky are using fastpath, not interleaved as I thought.

Unfortunately I don't have another ADSL router to try.

I wonder if that is the actual password.
I guess the only way to find out is to put it into another modem/router

thx for doing that
