Hi,

For what its worth, here's my F2S Max DSL speedtest before the account gets cancelled tomorrow. Hopefully Sky will be able to equal or better it.

I'll keep everyone posted with updates, on the progress of my sky order.

Regards

Kaitain

Its Alive ......

Hi All,

Having set up my router I thought that I'd plug the thing into the ADSL line and see if I got a response. Sky had said the line re-activation date was the 19th September. To my surprise after a couple of error 300s from the Sky test button, I got a successful connection and here I am, fully migrated 6 days earlier than expected . Another gold star for Sky.

Here's the post migration speed test.

At least I'm getting the same sort of speed as my old connection.

I hope everyone else has a similar experience to mine, and the delays are short.

Regards

Kaitain

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Smile Well things have just got better

Having decided to work from home this afternoon, I was getting annoyed that my VPN connection was dropping occassionally, and then the ADSL connection went dead completely (LCP down). I rebooted the router and once it was up and connected I checked the stats and was amazed to see it was now syncing at 13544 kbps, rather than my previous 8000 kbps with F2S, and Sky.

Soon after the router reboot, I got an automated call from BT to say my line test had been completed? Well done BT, someone must have tweaked my line.

I've just done a speed test (from my home PC, so no VPN to get in the way) and got the following result:-

which is definely better than before. BT please keep this up and we may end up with 100MB ADSL like South Korea and Japan, in a few years.

Regards
