      ok ta

Perhaps my 12mb was a bit too optimistic, always hard to guess
When doing a speed test on wifi near the router, do at least a foot away from the router.
Can you also do one in the corner of the room away from the router say six to 8 feet away in differing corners, does it drop dramatically then?

How and where is your router. Not sitting on a radiator or next to any radio or even a cordless landline phone base station?

The router is maybe 6-7 feet from our cordless phone. Not sat on a radiator. It is next to an LG wireless subwoofer (soundbar).
Speed sat in opposite corner came out at 2.02mb, a small drop.

      Re: Improve wireless speeds

You really should be getting at least 8mb to 10mb, 2mb so close is poor, based on your stats.
Phone is far enough away, but have seen reports of the wireless soundbars affecting router wireless signals.
Only way I suppose is to turn off the LG soundbar and see if it makes a difference rather than change the router channel at this time.

      Re: Improve wireless speeds

      Ok not that then.
You could try changing the channel in the sky hub router settings to say channel 6 and keep mode as auto, apply it and the router will reset the wifi, so be off for a short while.

      Re: Improve wireless speeds

      OK.
      Channel changed to 5.
      Sub off 12.68!

      Channel 5 sub on 10.74.

Seems to be a mix of sub and channel being used.
      What are the 'modes'.
Should I play around with them or leave?

      Re: Improve wireless speeds

Would not change the mode, leave to auto as you have a mixture of devices connecting.

      So its the subwoofer, bingo!

From your previous wifi analyser, you could use channel 13, that is rarely used, see if that helps, but 10 - 12mb is good for your stats.
Is it also better in your kitchen area now too?

Best I suppose would be to move the router away from the subwoofer, at least a foot or so, away from or above.

Having tried all modes the best speed is achieved from 54g LRS.
How would this affect other devices?

Moving the router is not an option due to socket location. Can move the sub though...wife permitting!
