Don't be disappointed if it does not go up, you are doing very well. By the way it is not necessary to record thanks for every reply in your thread, thanks should only be recorded when you have actually received help, not for a simple reply

Re: Will I get more speed?
Yeah I know, I'm already satisfied as it is.
I'll keep that in mind.

Re: Will I get more speed?
My speed has increased yet again, but not by a huge amount!
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 17706 kbps 1150 kbps Line Attenuation 23.5 dB 14.1 dB Noise Margin 3.2 dB 8.3 dB

Re: Will I get more speed?
Well this is...
Higher noise margin on downstream so I could get back on 17-18Mb easily right?ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 16007 kbps 1142 kbps Line Attenuation 23.5 dB 13.9 dB Noise Margin 6.2 dB 8.2 dB

Re: Will I get more speed?
It probably means your line is not stable enough to maintain the 3 db noise margin, so if it goes up again it will probably drop back. 16Mb with a stable line is better than a 17Mb one which is unstable.

Re: Will I get more speed?
Oh I see! Makes sense. :P Hopefully I get back on 17Mb by the end of DLM.

Re: Will I get more speed?
Today's resync was well a bit weird.. upload speed went down but download speed increased with the noise margin staying the same, on the 7th day of DLM so I guess I'll hit 17Mb easily by then, because I remember last time I was on DLM a similar kind of thing happened, but then my speed recovered by the end of the 10 days.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 16055 kbps 1101 kbps Line Attenuation 23.5 dB 14.1 dB Noise Margin 6.1 dB 8.6 dB

Re: Will I get more speed?
Back on 17Mb! 2 more days till DLM is over, I'm optimistic.

Re: Will I get more speed?
Whilst the official response for the initial training period for DLM is 10 days, which start about 3 days after the installation has been made, it can actually last longer.
DLM actually sits quietly in the background and constantly monitors all our lines. If there is an issue it will jump in and slow your connection down to compensate, this is why it is a bad idea to power cycle your router too often as this is interpreted as a line fault.
In your case I suspect that DLM may go on for a few more days yet. I would expect it to settle down at around 16mb though.

Re: Will I get more speed?
Well I did talk to sky and that night my router did resync to a higher speed so I assume it started on the same day after hassling Sky a little for more speed. I see, I haven't rebooted my router since and before the DLM has started so I don't need to worry. Yeah I think so too, but even at that noise margin of around 3dB, it still did a resync which put me to 17.7Mb a few days ago.
