Question Re: Speed tests - Sites to try etc

Hi Guys & Gals

I have just done a speedtest, I am on Sky Connect and about 2.5km from exchange.

not using any firewalls apart from Windows own, Windows Defender and AVG, my speeds are as follows;

Download: 4325 Kbps
Upload: 381 Kbps

Is this about normal or do I need to tweak something, and if so what.

Thanx

Re: Speed tests - Sites to try etc

and if you have a DL manager or something like downthemall try

www.petesmail.eu/100.bin

that will give you the full max speed your line can do. or should do theres nothing on it and terrabytes of BW sat idle

dont bother with single threads if you have FF get downthemall addon if not then get a DL manager - your just wasting time with single threads

try my file with single thread then with a DL manager and you'll see exactly what i mean

Re: Speed tests - Sites to try etc

@Pete, Is that file actually 1.5Mb or is my PC playing up, Even with the DownTheMall (*Thanx for the Tip*) The file downloads way too quickly to get a proper reading.

Re: Speed tests - Sites to try etc

change your chunks from 5 to 10 so it shows 10/10 in advanced and it might go faster

you and anyone else on this site is welcome to download the bottom off it i've got dedicated BW of 3TB just for speedtests
