Speed tests - Sites to try etc

I find this site useful

btw, you can do a ftp download test without any other software (other than your browser).

Strange though - much lower speeds if I choose London??

The only site I've found to give consistent results is thinkbroadband :: Broadband Speed Test

The speeds reported back from thinkbroadband (previously ADSL Guide) seem to match that of my torrents and http downloads, where as almost every other speed test was way out.

I noticed that too

I get better speeds from Paris and Torshavn.

Torshavn I can understand, it's a tiny island and probably doesn't get much traffic, but Paris, I thought that'd be the same as London

YourSpeed v3.7

The download speed seems consistent with other sites I've tried and it claims to look at your web speed and you can leave it running to build up a log for you.
