I am downloading it now and I am apparantly still in the training period, getting 780 download, its 75% complete I think the speed has levelled out, dont think its going to drop below 750, quite pleased with the speeds , do sky traffic shape, because torrent downloads with around 12 seeds seem to be going really slow, like 10Kbps, I have srtup port forwarding for bitcomet, still pretty slow. anyone confirm if they do traffic shaping? why cant they just leave it as a cap and if people go over punish them, rather than maiking my torrent downloads go slow as! I'll never go over my cap!

I've not noticed any evidence of traffic shaping on torrents. However, try encrypting the traffic. This should circumvent any shaping (if it exists).

Maybe I have been getting bad torrents, I am connected over ethernet and all FTP/HTTP downloads go at over 350k

as for torrents, the highest I had was a short spike at 190k, I guess this may have been a bad torrent, not complaining about 190k its a load faster than what I previously got, am I right in thinking that whether or not an ISP can enforce traffic shaping depends on the equipment at the exchange?

If so couldn't this mean sky can enforce traffic shaping at some exchanges but not others? could be just speculation but I am sure i read it somewhere on this forum (possibly another)

Hmm?

Hey Christopher, At first my torrents felt as-if they were being limited, But after a little tweaking, Limiting upload slots etc etc! My torrents are now breezy! Just finished downloading Lost Season 3 Episode 4 in Under 15Mins! Wow! lol!
