      Sky BB day 1

Well after Orange 'upgrading' the exchange and my BB going from 17m to 7m I've jumped to Sky.

Using the Sagem at the moment and getting the below

      MER

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream

Connection Speed 4095 kbps 605 kbps

Line Attenuation 19.5 dB 11.3 dB

Noise Margin 15.4 dB 18.5 dB

I assume, reading from the forum, that this is all very dynamic over the next 10 days ?

      Re: Sky BB day 1

DLM will start any time over the next 3 days and will then last for up to 10 days, so it might not finish for 2 weeks in all.

Judging by your stats, you should be able to get around 16Mb+ downstram speed and around .9Mb upstream.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Do post your stats after DLM is complete. I have got the same attenuation (length of line) as you and it would be interesting to see what speed you end up on.

Don't take too much notice of the Web page, it is often days behind real time. Keep your router plugged in and powered up at all times, DLM can start any time within the next 3 days..

Interestingly my Line Attenuation dropped from 18dB to 17dB with the Sagem 2304n.

This I guess is down to the chipset being matched with the LLU equipment.

Could be. What router gave you the 18db attenuation?
