Slower speed since switching
hello,
to cut a long story short, i had to change ISP due to BT making an error and having to get me to reconnect the line and provide a new number so i decided since my old ISP connection was ceased and it was a month contract only i decided to give sky unlimited a shot as it was cheap and i heard good things.
On my old ISP ADSL24 i was syncing at 3.0mb to 3.5MB and my line stats have not changed at all, well nothing has changed at all. I was LLU with ADSL24 as i am with sky.
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 464568 795621 0 1723 50109 06:02:59
LAN 19327081 16817188 0 8268 8268 72:08:29
WLAN 0 0 0 0 0 00:00:00
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1532 kbps 686 kbps
Line Attenuation 55.0db 35.2db
Noise Margin 13.1db 10.5db
That is my current stats usually my noise margain on downstream is 6.9 usually not sure why its so high just now.
I emailed sky asking if they could change my IP profile as you'd guess im unhappy with this loss of speed but they said no they did change my delays though which was good, im happy with skys service but this speed drop is annoying due.
Any input would be nice.

Re: Slower speed since switching
When did you go live? There's a 10 day training period, highlighted in your welcome letter, during which the router shouldn't be rebooted. If you've had Sky BB for a while you just need o call them and they can manually reconfigure the line - should get 3-4Mbps once done
