How accurate is this
I used BT's ADSL checker located at: BT Broadband
Is my line doomed? And what does that "note:" bit at the end mean?Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line rate up to 1Mbps. However due to the length of your line the 1Mbps service may require an engineer visit who will, where possible, supply the broadband service.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 1Mbps or greater.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL2+ broadband line rate of 1Mbps or greater.
The actual stable line rate supportable will be determined during the first 10 days of use. This rate may change over time, to ensure line stability is maintained.
If you decide to place an order, a further test will be performed to confirm if your line is suitable for the service you wish to purchase.Thank you for your interest.
Note: There is currently a Broadband cease pending or in progress against this line. This cease is due to complete by 9th June 2009. This will not stop you ordering Broadband from a new supplier, but will delay the provision of the new Broadband service.

Re: How accurate is this
LLU is better than connect as Isitme say`s.
When you were with Madasafish you were on a connect Bt rebranded package usually upstream 448kbps indicates the connect package you are moving to Sky LLU so there is nothing to worry aboutWith those stats you should see 3 to 4 Mb/s, maybe slightly more.

Re: How accurate is this
I would not worry about it, BT's checker seems to be out of date. Mine reports-
I have a full 8Mb connection and could get about 12 Mb if I were on Max.Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line rate up to 2Mbps.Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 4.5Mbps or greater.

Re: How accurate is this
Ha, I hope

I just received router, which turned out to be the Sagem one. I'm quite surprised at how small it is :S
Anyway, I read the article that came with it, but walked away not fully understanding.
I'm not allowed to use the router until Sky say something about line activation?Xfire: acbluflame
