I recently moved house and lost my rock solid 8MB line (no ADSL2 in Milton Keynes) Any way I initially had problems when I moved in with the router dropping connection and getting progressively slower connections until Sky did something giving me the constant stats below. My connection has been rock solid since, however I would still expect to get better results than the just over 3MB I have. My router is plugged into a filter which goes DIRECTLY into the test socket (the master socket was missing the lower half faceplate when I moved in) and only my telephone plugged into the filter, no extensions etc
Connection Speed 3424 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.0 db 25.5 db
Noise Margin 23.3 db 14.0 db
In your opinion(s) should I expect a higher connection and if so roughly what. Its the upload speed which is odd, it used to be 768 all the time, this is why I believe I may have been capped
I appreciate this is all subjective and wont quote names when I ring Sky demand action
Thanks in advance
