well its been 2 days and i still have this
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2432 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 5.8 db 19.0 db
and a 60kb/sec download. I am starting to think the line is still 60kb/sec and the connection will just show that forever unless i ring sky again. I have run the speedtest.net and it shows i have a 510 connection. to me it seems its not going to change anytime soon as its been this way since sky did the regrade.

your sync speed is as good as it'll get...and also bare in mind between 5-6PM - 11PMish everyone's on slow down...I go from downloading 550KB/sec to 50KB/sec...

well i am downloading at 130kb/sec max now, though this has been higher depending on the time of day/ very happy with it now. thanks to everyone who commented and helped me get this sorted.
