Is this the best I can expect?

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and hope you can help me out. I'm signed up to the Sky Mid range package but feel I'm getting a bit of a rubbish speed with my connection.

I live about 2 miles from the local exchange and although I've never really kept an eye on how fast I've been connected in the past, I think I used to get an average 2 - 2.5meg speed when I was on an equivalent package with Orange. Sky did appear to be faster by comparison, but now seems to have slowed down significantly in recent months. (YouTube videos nearly always have to buffer now, music downloads take longer, etc.)

I've done the Netgear test with the following results:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 768 kbps 412 kbps
Line Attenuation 47.5 db 31.6 db
Noise Margin 19.4 db 16.0 db

Hope that's the correct info you need. I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to all this techy stuff!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Phone Sky support, it looks like you have been capped. When you phone plug the router into the test socket to get your best possible speed.

Re: Is this the best I can expect?

Thanks for the reply. I've contacted Sky support. They say I'm not capped and are going to 'run some tests'. I'm waiting of them coming back to me.
