Strange Speed Activity

Ok so I have been using Sky BB for just over a couple months and ive been getting good speeds around 1.2Mb/s , for some strange reason my download speeds are up and down from 0.1kb/s to 700kb/s every couple of seconds. Im downloading from a newsgroup so the speed should be constant.

Here are my stats

Anybody see anything strange ? or suggest anything ?

Re: Strange Speed Activity

Wired or wireless? If it is wireless there may be another network in your neighbourhood interfering with your connection. I notice your wireless is switched on, if you are using it, download Netstumbler from the link below and use it to investigate networks in your locality. Change your channel to one as far from those in use as possible. Remember channel 13 is usable in the UK
