Need Serious Help... Mega Slow Connection!

I have Sky Broadband Mid (8MB) package and my connection is always slow.
When i log onto the router, this is what speed is says im getting!

DownStream Connection Speed 128 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 128 kbps

When i download things, my download speed is ALWAYS 13 kbps, the highest it has ever reached it 15 kbps.

Can anyone help me on this?

Call sky, you seem to be on the wrong config. When did you get put onto Sky ADSL?

Its done it ever since i got it i think, well for the first month it was ok... do you think i may have been capped?

Will need to see your stats, can you log into the router and post your attenuation, SNR and down/ upstream speeds?

A friend of mine (not on Sky ) ended up with a similar situation after moving her setup from one room to another.
She had managed to connect her router to the telephone side of the ADSL filter.
The house had a lot of dodgy extension wiring.
What surprised me was that it worked at all!

I dont get it though, because my friend has the free sky broadband and her download speed is 1340 kbps, and she lives 1 mile further down the road from me... so it cant be anything to do with the exchange point (as shes further away from it)

IT can be down to line conditions as much as distance. You didn't post what I asked for btw. Attenuation, synch and SNR
