      Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      moved to correct forum - speak to the staff

      We have always had the rule of not completely quoting the preceeding post.

      If the post is a couple or so further up, we dont mind - only reason we do this is to save database room and make it more easy to follow the thread.

      @Newsreader

      Thanks for taking the time to explain. I understand now.

      Never seen this approach before though, is it unique to Skyuser?

      Yep

      Sometimes we use our discretion and like I say as long as you can answer the question without quoting the full post, it is appreciated.

      Quotes we prefer to remain sparingly, purely, like I say to save room and make it easier to follow.

      We are not saying you cannot quote but you could quote a relevant sentence or question, we do not mind on that front.

      ie

      Never seen this approach before though, is it unique to Skyuser?
      hope that helps and it aint a case of you are a naughty boy its more a case of how to put all I have said into words and then put that in the reason box, we all use different terms.

      Have added it to the rules for clarification

      Please try not to quote the immediately preceeding post, quoting parts of it are acceptable to get a point across or to answer a specific question asked.

      @Newsreader

      Thanks, all clear now.

      I was starting to think this community was too stressed out trying to get Sky Broadband working what with all the edits going on

      This forum is a grest help and a tribute to what the Internet should be about.

      With every post of a problem on here, there must be thousands with the same issue who have not found Sky User, or have no connection to even get here Now that is a worry!

      May the friendly community spirit and support continue!

      no problems

      The whole point of this forum is to help people - and will always be our goal.

      There are hundreds of problems with Sky, some Sky's fault, others are just configuration errors locally.

      As for getting stressed out on here, personnally I never do, even if I have to explain or go round the houses to help people, to me its just a hobby

      Thank you for your kind words, you have interpreted our forum exactly for what we wanted to achieve.
