      Pausing Sky Sports package problem

      When Sky announced Sky Sports packages could be paused by their customers I rang up and asked for my full Sky Sports package to be suspended and whilst also pointing out I'd want the service resumed when live sports returned, (n.b. I've been a Sky Sports customer since 2009). However, I now discover I'm unable to watch any Sky Sports channels so clearly my request was treated as a cancellation instead of the requested pause. I must admit the person who took my call didn't seem aware of the offer to pause Sky Sports packages but as he put me on hold to talk to his manager I assumed my request would be handled correctly. How can I get this resolved when it isn't possible to call as I'm not in the groups allowed to contact by phone.

      I believe that is technically the correct thing to do.

      As your Sports package has been suspended, you won't be able to view anything on the Sports channels or anything that you may have recorded but not watched.

      This isn't actually correct as you can still view the channels and any recording you have made as all you are doing is not paying for them so the channels aren't actually cancelled.
