I was just nosing around the forum settings pages & came across 'Attachment Statistics' in the Miscellaneous section.
For each attachment, along with file size etc, there's a figure there for 'downloads'.
Is this really the amount of times people have downloaded that file from skyuser?
I posted a picture of a diver playing with a large great white shark once & it says 'downloads: 170'!

I don't know for sure but I would presume that it would be something like a browser having to download the image file to display it, so would expect it to tally fairly closely to the number of views for that post. Does it?

Actually that reminds me of another query...
I understand that it's best to host files on skyuser for various reasons.
(A couple of my older posts containing bqm graphs make little sense now the graphs have gone).
Is there a way of getting a skyuser hosted file in full size into a post without the accompanying small attachment there as well?

Rather than create a new thread, may i put in a forum suggestion here?
The settings do seem to be quite comprehensive but there is one thing that has caused me some chewiness...
Call me a hippy, but i consider all forum members as friends until proven otherwise.
Well, this forum anyway.
It is possible to not allow private messages & other things, but not friend requests.
Personally i don't use fakebook or twister & do have a line drawn there somewhere regarding that type of thing.
Unfortunately it's this that has led to the chewy moments, where i either chose to decline, or even worse, ignore.
So the forum suggestion is:
Please provide a 'Reject friend requests' option in the settings area.
(Complete with a suitable forum generated 'this person doesn't do friends' type response).

Don't think that's possible. I'm not aware of that functionality being available in the forum software we use.

Can't see post view counts with my fisher-price hardware.
This for example: New Forum Features Added In Latest Update is gobbledegook to me.
