Maybe you did not notice, but unlike your other forums, this one has more than a few dozen members. Over 60,000 in fact.

After you have been a member for 2 or 3 years and proved your worth with a few hundred intelligent posts, maybe you will get an invite to join the Mod group.

      What? Spoil our fun?

Seriously though, it is up to the owners of this site, not myself. As Red stated in post #69, we have a really friendly membership and rarely need to use the moderating powers. Those that the mods have are quite limited too as much of it is automated. Ged & Glenn keep the access to the forum software under their control.

As the newest member in the team, I would say that this is a credit to the owners, past moderators, the current moderating team and most importantly, the membership.

There are many very knowledgeable members who contribute to this forum in order to pass comments, resolve issues and much much more. I brought some knowledge with me to the forum, but have learnt a great deal more from others. This is the most useful part that any member can do at present.

Many new members have specific issues and helping to resolve them is possibly the main reason why people visit in the first place.

P.S. There is one roll which was asked about sometime ago but was never filled. If you are interested in composing relevant News Stories for the forum, this would be greatly appreciated.

.... but you're a skyuser beta tester which is far more important and fun. I bet there's a lot out there that wish they'd have access to what you can get.

      Re: Ask away

In the last 48hrs I've had an inordinate number of emails from SkyUser forum informing me that someone is trying to log in with my username and an incorrect password, each time from different ip addresses. Is this a forum glitch, or is someone actually trying to hack into this (mainly unused) account. I'm going to look for a way to disable the warning messages now, but would love someone to get back to me and let me know if you were actually being attacked (seems like a brute force password tool - and not a good one at that!).
