i have a sky router which was given by a friend and i would like to get broadbans as a sky customer but i do not have the password for the router.
Unless you have a contract and your line is enabled by Sky you will not get Sky broadband. If you do have a contract Sky will supply you with a router.

You will not be able to use your friends router as it will have their username and password in it. When you place your order you will get one which will have your details stored in it.

      Re: Ask away

Don't know where to go to ask this question as I have only just registered for the forum: but I have upgraded my Amstrad DRX780 box to 1tb disc. Although it seems to have given me much more space it keeps coming up with "Part recorded, technical error -7". Not sure if this mainly happening on 3D recordings? the other HD recordings have seemed to be OK.
Has anyone any idea what this problem is?

      Re: Ask away

Part recorded could be two things....

Clash in recordings where your trying to watch one program and trying to record two.
Loss of one feed so while your viewing a channel your box is unable to record a 2nd so when it kicks in it will miss part of the program and show up as part recorded.

      Regards

We used to have a chat bar years ago, nobody ever used it.

      Do you mean selectable?

If so no, and it would be a pain in the backside to list every different version to make it selectable.

However, iirc there is the option to add a custom description, (if not I can easily do that if I can remember how) then the more technical people could add it that way?

I did ask the staff the other day if we should add the different makes of STB for the Sky TV bit, but that was again pointed out the combinations are huge.
