That's a possible idea. I'll leave it to the consensus.

Not sure about the hidden forum idea. What alternative could you live with?

If a visible forum then maybe malicious posts could be avoided by only giving posting rights to members that had more than x time and y posts on the general forums in their history? It would make it a bit "elitist" though wouldn't it.

tbh i think that is a fair alternative, more than we were prepared to consider 24 hours ago.

Yes there is a problem with the router, what we don't want to **** up is any fixes that may or not be forthcoming.

Sky's routers have been flashed the way they have for a reason, and I truly feel that only a small % of people would follow through the procedure.

Sky are obviously aware of this problem and I would hope that they are addressing the problem and so doing it this way, keeps the information away from the casual flasher (if such a phrase) but gives the more technical members a playroom so to speak.

why do people just look at it as hacking the router its has been proved that its a firmware problem the router is fine
if we have a place to talk and share information maybe sky will learn from this
as well and end of the day a fix for the sky router which i think we all want

its not about hacking i want a router that works and stable to get the sevice that im paying for is that really too much to ask for?
