this group is my last hope
Hi
Do sky staff really read this forum ? If so I wonder could you help me ? as many of your colleagues are unable. On the 15th July, my phone line came back to BT, so I tried to order Broadband. By coincidence I signed up for mysky the same day, so that I could monitor my account etc. Sounds simple enough dosn't it ? - but this is where the nightmare begins. It would seem that when you register for mysky, the system automaticaly assigns your user name to a @sky.com email address. Which isn't in itself a problem, but the ordering system will now not process a broadband order for a customer with an @sky.com email address. Sky have accepted that this is a recognised problem and it is being worked on. Though you would think that the first thing they would do is make the mysky application process unable for those whom are NOT already broadband customers. Customers are falling in to this trap without knowing and it's causing a growing problem as you can imagine. To get back to my problem, I have called Sky more times than I can recall to ask them to bin my email address from my record so that I can order broadband, but it isn't so simple it seems that it needs to be done by a systems analyst. Only if my luck has changed considerably would one of those be reading this and perhaps sort it. I can be contacted for account detail by PM
Yours hoping for a miracle !!
Steve
PS I was with talktalk and so my existing BB service went when my line came back to BT
