I reckon Skyuser should have a paypal donation service

HI, i have thought of a idea that Skyuser should have a paypal donation service, because as people are helped on this forum, they save money by not calling Sky .
so the money raised by people donating, can either be donated to charities or used by Skyuser to upgrade its equipment.

      JUST A IDEA GUYS

Re: I reckon Skyuser should have a paypal donation service

A lot of people ask us this or just wish to say thank you.

Our costs of running this website are met by our adverts and it has been our desire never to let members pay for any help received.

We were going to implement a SkyUser nominated Charity, but never actually got around to doing this.

Once we have a nominated Charity, we are happy to implement this so people could donate to that particular Charity. I think in the interests of being transparent and less work for us, it would be better to put a link to that Charity's donation button rather than administer it through Paypal?

Great Idea Hugsie, just need a Charity now.

      I'll nominate this one:

Justgiving - Raise money for Great North Air Ambulance Service

Sounds like an excellent idea. I suggest we set up a page for them for 6 months and then at the end we can choose a new charity.

I think it is a brilliant idea that we can donate to charity but could be nominate one that would be beneficial to the whole nation??

      Just a thought.

Re: I reckon Skyuser should have a paypal donation service

I think the idea is that we change the Nominated Charity every 6 months so we can then hopefully help more people.

The reason I wanted a more obscure one is it would benefit the Charity more, as they are less likely to be helped due to constraints etc for advertising and so on.

We are open for ideas for the Charity of where to donate the 200 (that Myself and Glenn are donating as a website) for the 20,000th member joining us to.

And of course if anyone wishes to add to that same one we can set up another Campaign.

Feel free to suggest Nominations in this thread.
