Re: Sagem router may never be cracked

No worries, I just wanted to satisfy your understanding. Sky would be stupid not to target this site in their advertising campaign. A long time ago we discussed with Sky's agency exclusivity of Sky advertising on this site, a process that we gave all the moderators an input on. The upshot of which, if we gave all our Ad Space to Sky, we could be construed as under Sky's control in the eyes of our members, and so we declined.

That is why we then chose to sell our Ad space to Agencies, so the Agency delivers the ads and not us. There are exceptions to that in respect of other affiliate links and some banners that we show. However the small Sky banner that you see at the top right hand side of the website is shown by us, but with a frequency cap of 2500 ad shows a day. Bear in mind we show over 100k of adverts per day, that is a very small percentage of showings.

The other way of thinking as a website, Sky pay us a commission for our members who sign up or upgrade their Sky Account on line. Of which we have already committed to bringing in a Cash back section for our members to benefit from in the near future. This way our site gets funding, our members will make some money, and we cover all our overheads, and keep our website free of charge for our members. Which has always been our philosophy.

Bearing in mind we have invested over 1700 since December 1st 2007, on our website, you can see why we do actually serve adverts.
