I am pretty sure if Sky owned the infrastructure that BT does at the moment, Connect would be cheaper.
BT charge about £8.50 a month plus an initial connection charge to Sky for them to use their network. Lets not forget Sky are a company, and wish to be profitable.
Newnet is not such a good example. I used to have
Home M, and if you weigh their package up against Sky's Connect, Sky would win, hands down.
Monthly Cost:
Newnet - £17.95
Sky - £17.00
Allowance:
Newnet - 12GB
Sky - 40GB
New Connection Fee:
Newnet - £39.95
Sky - £30.00
Newnet also charge per additional GB
Pre-paid additional bandwidth £1.40/GB.
Therefore, the equivalent from Newnet would be -
£17.95 plus for the same allowance, £39.20 =
£57.15 in reality.
