What ever the incoming mail server is for the domain that you are using, ours is an outgoing server only.

Re: How to setup with Outlook Express

Thanks very much for setting this up for me. I am very grateful.

I have spent hours trying to make it work, read all the instructions and tried to set everything up repeatedly, but it's not working on my system. I have set-up dozens of accounts in Outlook etc. over the years without problem, but this one just doesn't work unfortunately.

      I'm using Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 PC.

I have retained the same Incoming SMTP details.

I have used the following details for Outgoing:

      Outgoing SMTP mail server: mail.skyusermail.com

Ticked 'My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'

      Then I've entered:

      Username: marcusuk

Password: same password as SkyUser forums

      Outgoing SMTP: 25

Retained 'none' for 'Use the following type of encryption'.

Any idea what I may not be doing right please?

Thank you very much. I appreciate your assistance

The password should be the one you supplied when requesting we setup the SMTP - It shouldn't be the same password as per your forum login, if that helps.

Re: How to setup with Outlook Express

      Hi,

Wonder if I could pick someone's brains! I'm getting this error in when testing sending an email: The server responded: 421 Cannot establish TLS.

      I'm using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7.

Used my domain pop3 details for incoming mail server.
And mail.skyusermail.com for outgoing mail server.
Under "More Settings" and "Outgoing Server", selected "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
Then "Log on using" and my user name and password as I gave in my application (I even emailed them to myself at the time so I would make sure I didn't get them wrong).
"Require Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" is unchecked.
Under the "Advanced" tab Outgoing server port is 25 and "None" is selected for " Use the following type of encrypted connection".

I have 4 email addresses using skyuser server and all of them have the same error - have I made a silly mistake that I just can't see as I've been looking at it for so long?

      Thanks,
      Kate

      Hello

Have you requested a SkyUser SMTP account?
