Re: How to setup with Outlook Express

This is great thanks, but I could do with some extra help. I am using Mail on a mac. It is very similar to outlook so I have followed the instructions as best I can from this, but I keep getting message password rejected by skyuser server. So I don't know if the problem is at my end or not. Any suggestions? I am getting desperate to get my e mails going out properly again. Any help greatly appreciated!

What version of Mail is it and do you get any error messages when you try to send?

      Thanks Paul
It is Mail version 3.5 (930.3)
The error message I get is
The SMTP server “smtp.mail.skyusermail.com” rejected the password for user .....
and I have had an e mail back from the nice Newsreader to say that my account has now been set up.
      Any thoughts??

Hi, I'm also having problems setting up mail.skyusermail.com in Mac OS X Mail (v.3.6).

The Skyuser server defaults to offline and won't connect, if that makes sense?

      When did you apply?

Have you had a PM saying it has been setup?

Re: How to setup with Outlook Express

On the settings page of mail there is a configure outlook line. It will take you to a ' page not found' page. There is a search box here, search again to configure outlook. There you'll find an 'unlock' setting. Type in user name and password, and the weird text in the box. That will unlock your smpt out server. I then reset my server back to smtp.tools.sky.com in outlook express, tools, accounts, servers. And I can now send and receive email.
