Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

I've just downloaded it & registered on the site, thanks to all who developed it.

Just a couple of Q's what version should it be & how do I know which one. Is it the usual "about" & is 1.1.4 correct?

When I first installed it, it was a little box on the desktop, its now in the toolbar system tray etc, can I go back to the desktop or does it stay on the toolbar?

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

If you want to show the meter on your desktop, right click the icon in the tray and select, 'Show on Desktop'. The version you have is the latest available.

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

I'm starting to get a "microsoft.NET Framework" error message now I've installed it.

Well nothing else has been installed recently so I'm assuming they're related.At the mo I click continue. Are these connected or should I be worrying about something else?

Also during boot up, I get the usual, Vista message, a programme want to run etc, anyway of switching that off just for this?

Thanks

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

I had the error message again & new one to that I assume is connected (?), it popped up before I could read all of it but it mentioned "wincap" & disabling meter.

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

Has anyone tried running this on Windows 7?

I have installed it but it doesn't show on the taskbar or task manager.

I tried it in compatability mode for XP and Vista, still nothing.

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

Hello, i just installed Bandwidth meter but when i try to register I get the following message:

.Net Framework Error

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Host 'www.fuelbills.net' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'

at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.PacketReader.ReadHeader()
at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.PacketReader.OpenPacket()
at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.NativeDriver.Open()
at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlConnection.Open()
at DBFunctions.GetBroadbandSQLConnection()
at broadbandInfo.getBroadbandProviders()
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I have .Net installed etc, any suggestions on how to fix this so i can register, i would like to log my usage as SKY is accusing me of using 10 - 20 gig of bandwidth daily! on my connect package :/

thanks

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

Hi thanks for this

Am trying to view the website with the example stats on it

It reports a SQL server error

DETAILS:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Host 'www.fuelbills.net' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Host 'www.fuelbills.net' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

<%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
<system.web>
<compilation debug="true"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

Definitely a useful utility which I have been using since May. Initially I thought my usage was quite high until I discovered the switch for separating LAN traffic from Internet traffic, which works well.

I'd thought my usage was far higher than the new 10G cap and was considering moving to Max, but using the filter it's actually much lower than 10G. So will remain with Mid for the time being.
