Re: Upgrading your sky+ hard drive

Just put the drive in and Sky+ will do the rest.
When your box is assembled, power it up, wait two minutes and press the "Sky" button.
Perform A "Full System Reset" ("Services,4,0,1, Select,8 Housekeeping")
Wait for a restart and then press the "Sky" button.
Check it all works re-enable "Instant rewind" and re-enter your Series Links.

You should probably go back to the first post in this thread and read the links there.

Re: Upgrading your sky+ hard drive

unfortunatel grey rider is wrong.

If you just put it in the sky+ box it will only format a partion of around 270GB (a SkyHD box will format a max partion of 500GB). You need to format it first using the copy+ software to format the whole drive if larger than these figures to get the full capacity of your drive.

Re: Upgrading your sky+ hard drive

yes destination drive is correct. The source drive is if you want to hook up an old SKY+ HDD to copy data to the new (destination) drive.

All formatting is done to the drive showing under 'destination'. The drive (if connected) under source is purely read from.

yes i know that but the drive will not format in destination drive without a source drive. im just trying to format the drive without actually copying anything over from a source drive

Re: Upgrading your sky+ hard drive

Ah right. Never done that. You probably need to try the forums over there

Copy+ :: Index

and they also have a forum for future developments (remember the software is free).
