I don't know why you are sending a free box back. You would be better selling your Digi sender and buying a new one, or using a separate sender for the changer. Even if you are getting another box you could sell that one for more than you would pay for a second hand one.

I have a Samsung and have had no problems with it. It accepts the signal from my remote without a problem, but mine are cheap as chips £20 ones, I don't know if it would work with your sender. Buying anything used from eBay is always a risk, if you really want one, you should have a look in your local Cash Converters, they often have some good deals.

ps. I don't know whether they are IR or Irda.

Hi.Reason for sending it back were difficulty connecting DVDR and I wanted to keep as much of my existing equipment,and i wasnt impressed with the new EPG as I found that the old epg was/is more straightforward.Unfortunately we dont have a Cash Converter anywhere near us so us but at least ive got the old Amstrad DRX280 working with DVDR and I can watch my TV upstairs again, I am not in a hurry to change to HD as I cant put up with any more aggro at the moment however I might have a look at an older type Samsung HD Box if I can find out if its compatible with my equipment first and I dont have to pay silly money for it! But thanks for all the help you have given me..PS Is that the statue on The Wallace Monument as ive driven past it many times when travelling from Hellensburgh to Fife and back..Tks Michael

No its Pilkington Jackson's statue of King Robert Bruce at Bannockburn Borestone Heritage Centre. The Centre is in the process of being upgraded for 2014, I wont mention why.
