Thumbs up Wont change channels automatically!

I've recently had Sky + HD installed in my flat and because it's a communal dish I can only get 1 feed (but am still charged the same AND had to pay an installation fee - go figure!).

The only way I can record via Sky + is to have the channel I want already on which is a pain if it's a few days ahead as I'll need to remember to change the channels. This also means it's impossible to record different channels if I'm away for the weekend.

I remember my dad's old Sky had an option when you set the planner to turn over automatically, is there any such option with a Sky + HD box?

All help's gratefully received!

Cheers

Re: Wont change channels automatically!

No - the channel wont automatically change with a Sky+ box, as under normal circumstances - ie a 2 cable feed, the reminder would pop up and you then make the choice to switch over or record / or / you would have set it to record automatically in the first place.
Sorry mate - auto swtichover isn't a function of this type of box :-(

Tony

Well it's not Skys fault your landlords are too tight to put the proper equipment in place for upgrading is it?

Re: Wont change channels automatically!

screw the cable into dish input 2 when you want to record, this will allow it to change the channel (it must be left in dish input 1 for normal viewing mind).
