I have again tried into the AV2 on the DVD but I l can't get that screen and I lose the ability to run anything from the remote, e.g. if I press Setup, the display just goes to the current time (as when it's switched off)!

Anything else I could try, please?

Re: DVD Scart connection

I still haven't solved this problem - it's driving me mad 'cos I can't see what's wrong! Just to summarise:

I have the following SCART setup:
Sky+(TV) socket to TV AV1
Sky+(VCR) socket to DVD AV2 (decoder)

The TV works fine but I have no DVD control on the remote.

The Scart leads are fully pushed in (I have even tried a different Scart lead to see if this helps).

I have tried moving the DVD AV2 to the AV1 (TV), which allows me to use the DVD remote but obviously overrides the Sky box so I get the display (loading, writing to disk, etc) on the TV which I don't want.

My aim is to copy programmes on my Sky+ Planner to DVD.
I want to switch on my TV, view Sky until I put a DVD in the DVD/VCR, then use my remote to control the DVD.

A solution would be greatly appreciated!

Re: DVD Scart connection

I have finally resolved this problem so thought I would post in case anyone else experiences this problem. The setup which works for me is:

Sky box (TV) to DVD AV2 / DVD AV1 to TV AV2
AND
Sky box (TV) to DVD AV2 / DVD AV1 to TV AV1

With both these setups, I can view, copy, etc just as I want to.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
