Sky + Planner not working

Not sure why but today My Sky + Planner has stopped working normally.
When trying to view my shows previously recorded or pause a show I'm watching I get the following message on screen.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

Please wait

Back up to Return

Can anyone help me resolve this problem or is there a possible issue with the box?

Re: Sky + Planner not working

Unplug the box from the wall for a couple of minutes then start it up again, sounds like it has locked up.

If that doesn't work you could do a forced update, to do this you again need to unplud the box (you must be connected via SCART) then holding the backup button down on the receiver (not the remote) turn it back on, you will get a message that it is updating and not to turn it off (you can let go of the backup button now), this may take 10 mins.

You will not lose anything recordings etc doing this.

Re: Sky + Planner not working

Thanks for the advice. It started working after unplugging from the wall.
Was unsure wether to do this as I thought it would wipe all recordings stored but happy that it didnt.
Thanks again

The recordings are stored on a Hard Drive so there is no chance of loosing them, no matter how long you are turned off.

Re: Sky + Planner not working

Maybe worth doing.

Pull plug out, press the backup button on the front, put the cable back in.
When the front light are amber, red and green, take your finger off backup.

Make sure your on the sky channel on the tv as well.

Just noticed smithy has recommended this.

This fixed my problem, also a few others as well.
