      Re: sky dropping from hub

      Welcome to the forum fergal.

Just to kick things off and I am sorry if you have been asked any of these before, but could you provide some information of the following please:

      1. Do you have any crackling on your telephone line? (see below)
      2. Could you post the fill connection stats of your router please? (see below)
      3. Is it just the Xbox which experiences this problem?
      4. How is the Xbox connected to the router?

How to check if you have any crackling on your telephone line
Using a corded telephone, plugged into the socket in the filtered faceplate (otherwise the Test Socket behind the faceplate) dial '1' and listen for any noise. You may hear a faint background hiss, but ideally it should be silent. If the BTO Engineer fitted the VDSL faceplate you shouldn't hear a high pitched fax machine, but this is a possibility.

Any crackling, especially when the wind is blowing if you have a overhead telephone line, indicates a line problem.

      Re: sky dropping from hub

Could you post your router's stats again please.

One of the things we look for is how long the router has been connected and it is clear from those stats that the router had just been reconnected to the Internet. I guess that this was due to the engineer's visit.

It will be useful to see how well it has stayed connected since.
