Nobody has mentioned that if you are on Everyday, you are heavily capped as indicated by the very high noise margin. You should have at least 6-7Mb. Call Sky and ask them to raise the cap on your line.

Re: Something weird with the limits....

Hi Isitme!

We are now on the Sky Broadband Everyday package.

According to the monitor, we've now used 14gig since 21/01/10.

That's equivalent to 500mb a day!

I know the webcam is in use a lot but even so!

No other torrents etc are downloaded.

today's speed test

As I said, call Sky and ask them to configure your line for its best speed.

Re: Something weird with the limits....

Hey guys,

Since I started this thread the Monitoring app from SKY has told us we've just 24gig in less than a month. I spent an hour on the phone with 4 different people in 4 different departments. All of them sympathised but all said they couldn't help and passed me to someone else. The final call was to be put through to a manager but I got cut off.

I called back, ended up speaking to someone else. Same scenario. 3 different departments, 3 different people, final transfer to manager - got cut off. Another 30 minutes wasted.

So I've given up, cancelled the broadband and now moving to BE. £7.50 a month.

Thanks for all the help on here. It's a shame SKY don't employ you lot instead.

Good luck with your own situations. I hope you have better luck than we did.

Matt
