Does anyone use News services?

Like Newzbin and Usenet etc as since i have asked to be put on the unlimited service i have been unable to use and News services like newshosting etc. Anyone having thee same problem as a friend of mine who uses the same groups iss having the same problem are theey blocking ports?

I use Giganews and have always hit my full sync speed when downloading, including tonight.

No problem with Giganews here too. Have you checked your service provider status and that your firewall isn't blocking ports etc?

I use Thundernews and download at 1.6Mb/s and as much as I want.

Never had any issues with Sky they are simply the best broadband provider I have ever used. If you are having issues with download speed have you used TCPOptimiser to ensure that you are configured correctly. Windows operating systems are not configured properly for broadband, This programme also works for wireless connections which also need optimisation.

Plus connect to your master socket. If this is in a different room you can always use Ethernet over your electricity cables using Devlo adapters if required. I Use these to network my computers, PS3, and TV in the house, far better.
