Move ISP's, Sky will not sort this out for you. Either that or forget about Bet365.

LLU is where the ISP has their own equipment in the exchange, aka Local Loop Unbunding. That's a shame as you are at the mercy of using BT's technology repackaged as insert name of ISP here.
You should be able to get any other broadband package from any other ISP as nearly everyone does BT's unbranded broadband etc
Its a real shame as Connect was a very good package.
Just a thought do you download a lot? iirc Sky kick the shaping off if you do 1.5GB a day as you would be likely to go over the 40GB allowance.

Hi as you said June I thought it had been sorted and it did last about three weeks then it felt like October again really bad I do not play on line games all I do is straight on Skyuser and thats about it but still get Throttled not Traffic Managed

oddly at the beginning of June i had 3 solid weeks of great internet,

As IANTE have a look at Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down? it will show you how many have left because they were being Throttled Gazz380 even started another thread (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users I don`t think it is going to get better until Sky agents slow down on pushing the connect package and Sky start to unbundle more exchanges

Hi have seen your tests a good idea is to do tests when Traffic Shaping is not meant to be active after 12 midnight and before 5pm to see if the speeds improve

Yeah they do to some extent, point is, its terrible at a time of day when i would like to use it, maybe i should start sleeping between 5pm & 12pm
(oddly even though 5pm -12pm is the stated times for traffic shaping, i have seen my internet go bad from as early as 2pm & late as 2am)
07/07 02:35
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 8128 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 7150 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 4932 kbps
the really sad thing is, even if my speed wasnt terrbile SKYs traffic shaping results in awful lag for online gaming, i might have a ping of say 55, but once ingame its 110 -150+ & often feel like it may as well be 4 times that high. as im skipping around the place & other peoples Voip is garbled to me, i have no clue what they are saying
SKY's traffic shaping really punishes gamers, which is a bit unfair seeing as gaming traffic isnt that bandwidth intestive, its just SKY must have it right at the bottom of the priority list or something?
SKY should state in big bold letter for its connect package NOT USABLE FOR GAMING, OR YOUTUBE, OR ANYTHING ELSE WE DONT LIKE.

Re: Sky Connect, Internet package from hell
Just thought i would update this thread.
I got my replacement router with a new MAC address, unsurprisingly problems still remain,
Tried to phone back Customer Solutions after missing a callback, only to find my ticket had been closed & teir1 tech support refused to let me through to Customer Solutions to sort out wether or not i was being capped for "excessive usage" until i changed my ADSL filter almost lost my patience having to go through the idiot steps again, are the lights on the router, blah blah
Anyway i phone back half-hour later, get though to customer solutions, who yet again blames BT & says need tests by BT, will get back to you in couple of days. That was the last i heard from them
So enough was enough, i filled the the kana form (many thanks to whover posted link ) & requested MAC code & asked if i would be billed for remaining contract length.
I'm happy to say SKY issued my MAC & said due to the ammount of problems would not bill me for rest of the year.
Anyday now its bye-bye SKY hello Demon back to my old ISP.
Its a shame really, once you get past Tier 1 tech support (who are only doing what they been told to do), customer solutions are really nice people who try to help, its just unfortunate they are lumped with the job of keeping SKY connect customers happy when the product is just awful.
Its sad the only good thing i can say about SKY is their Tech support is freindly, & they will let me leave without contract..
