cancellation problems

cancellation problems

On 16th Feb 2009,my wife rang sky to cancel our package.We also cancelled the direct debit to sky.Have been on the phone today to sky as we are still recieving a service from them and have subsequently had a bill plus administrative charge.I was told that we had not cancelled in feb. although they have a record of us making a call on that date.I assured them we had not rang to be sociable.I have now been told that we have to give them thirty days notice from today and that we will not get any more bills.I can't say that I am inspired with confidence. But what can you do if they just ignore simple instructions.

Never ever give notice on the phone, use email, recorded delivery etc but never rely on the phone.

Hi you could also ring 02077053000 and ask for Customer Relations and tell them. That call is monitored plus you will get a ring back to see if your problem has been solved. Hope it all works out

yes. cancelled DD but they now sent paper bill + admin charge
