Sky Awards!

In yesterdays newspaper, Sky were boasting to the world Re all the awards they have one for broadband. !st for Quality & Reliability, 1st for Value, 1st for After-sales support, 1st for Download times, 1st for Speed of Service and 1st for Pricing. Did they award these to themselves? I have had Sky Broadband (mid package) since March and its still mega-slow. 1 minute to go from one page to the next, absolutely disgusting. Roll on next March then i will go to a proper broadband server.

Re: Sky Awards!

You've posted twice before about your unhappiness with your Sky connection but both times ignored requests to give more details.

Do you just want to whinge or do you want to fix the problem?

Re: Sky Awards!

they are good for the quality&reliability to best connected people,
they will sort your problem out(they may be including here) eventually
they have a insanely good price
i had non stop great speeds
and now they have great dl limits
and the best they all have a great great price
(p.s. i think im going mental... why am i saying this , but they are good - who agrees)

Re: Sky Awards!

I agree, having had bb for 2 years now and have never (touch wood) had a problem. The same for my television service which i have had for over 10 years. You certainly cannot argue with the price, although you still have to have the tv service to have the BB

So you can then wine when things to got to plan either. It may have escaped you but there are a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people on here that might be able to help you with this but if you are going to ignore requests to help that continually starting threads just to moan is going to get you anywhere.

Regarding the awards they have, if you read the advert correctly you will see where they came from. And for many people, myself included, we are generally happy with Sky as we have rock solid connections. In my case it wasn't always like this but with a bit of patience and with help from both the site and through talking with Sky themselves, these issues were sorted out.

From what you are saying the problem could be with you wiring and if that is the case moving ISPs is not going to fix it.

If you don't want help that is up to you but I fail to see out you can moan when you can be bothered to take up people requests to help you.

Re: Sky Awards!

I have nothing but praise for the techie help I got from a guy called William at Dunfirmline.
He took ownership of my problem and dealt with it there and then. Fiddled around with my settings while I was on the phone until I was happy. Speed increased by 2000Mbps! He even made the promised call back the following day to see if everything was still OK.
None of the script reading crap that BT seem so expert in, that solves sweet FA!

They can't fix it if you don't give them the chance!

Best part is that the call is free to Sky Talk users.
