Re: Useless

Get on the phone to them and tell them to stop being stupid you can get a lot more speed with those noise margins and there are not even any errors on the line.

Re: Useless

Why not call in again rather than jump ship just because of one single experience with their Tech? If you don't get joy with the person you are speaking with then ask to talk with a Supervisor. If it is a simple matter of getting the capping removed then it can be done, but you have to be persuasive, not angry (which really doesn't help at all).

Put the ole schmooze on and you'll get what you want.

Re: Useless

And another tip for when you call .... smile when you're speaking to them, really smile and mean it Believe it or not, a smile can be heard down the phone line!! The other person might not actually realise they're hearing it, but they are, and it has a profound effect at the receiving end. Try it and see, you've nothing to lose.

With a (capped) noise margin of 23.6db it would be pretty amazing if there were.

Re: Useless

Call back or use the contact us page on Sky.com and ask to have the cap removed so that you can find out where the problem is to resolve it. At worst you will have to go through troubleshooting for slow speed before going to CST.
