£10 spent on phone calls and

still my broadband is useless pages take ages to load.

Ive been promised calls back 6 times this month now and not one call back.

I get through to tier one and we go through the same tedious checks every time.

Im supposed to be able to get up to 3 meg with my line with speedtest im up to 1.7 meg.

All week Ive phoned tech support and all i get is sorry our systems are down.

I really dont know what to do next.

Re: £10 spent on phone calls and

in one of your other threads you spoke about being capped at 2meg, when you spoke to sky they also told you your line was getting a high rate of errors which is wy they capped you
could you post your router statsso we can see what you have at the moment

could you also confirm if you have tried from your BT test socket

Re: £10 spent on phone calls and

they are pretty bad stats,

you must have a pretty bad line (noise) i would have thought it was down to your extention (but i do normally say that)
any chance you could plug into the test socket and post another set of stats

Re: £10 spent on phone calls and

Just as a heads up, whenever I have rang Sky and been kept on the phone for ages, I always ask them for a credit on my Sky account. Never been refused one yet.

Once you get finally sorted just explain politely that you have spent lots of time on the phone and would they consider a gesture of goodwill. They are human after all and I suppose as long as you keep your cool, they will comply with your request. Normally...

Re: £10 spent on phone calls and

Hi Cantwinagame.
Can you confirm that when you are connected to the test socket, all of your other sockets are dead (no dial tone )?.

Re: £10 spent on phone calls and

Do you have any other telephone sockets apart from the one your router is connected to? If you connect to the test socket, any other sockets should not work.
